Having previously visited Auburn for a game in the fall, Davidson returned on Saturday. He boasts a familial connection to the university, as his grandparents and great-grandparents on his mother’s side all attended and graduated from Auburn.

“Man, it was fantastic. The facilities here are top-notch; the weather was perfect; it was nice and cool outside,” Davidson expressed after Junior Day. “Everyone showed so much love, and I got to hang out with Ryan (Ghea)—he’s one of my close friends and he’s committed here. I had a great time. Coach Ben (Aigamaua), Coach Logan (Bradley), everyone was incredibly supportive, and it was an amazing experience.”

With Auburn facing the departure of three tight ends due to graduation after the 2024 season, Davidson becomes the second recruit in what’s expected to be a three-player class at the position for the 2025 recruiting cycle.

Aigamaua’s persistent recruiting efforts played a significant role in Davidson’s early commitment, despite interest from Miami, Penn State, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Cincinnati. Tight ends assistant coach Logan Bradley also made a strong impression.

“They’re fantastic. I really appreciate how Ben values family,” Davidson remarked. “He’s eager to mentor me if I choose to come here, and he connects well with my family. As for Coach Logan, I just met him today, and he gave me a thorough tour. He seems really great.”

Davidson has strong familial ties to sports, with his father having played volleyball at Penn State and his aunt achieving All-American status as a volleyball player for the Nittany Lions before transitioning into coaching at Notre Dame.

During his junior year at McIntosh, Davidson showcased his skills on the football field by recording 30 receptions for 436 yards and three touchdowns.
