Jahmyr Gibbs scored on a 31-yard run, and the Lions lead the Bucs 24-17 in the fourth quarter of today’s NFC division-round playoff game at Ford Field in Detroit.

The early-fourth quarter run came less than two minutes after Baker Mayfield tied the game with a 12-yard touchdown pass to Rachaad White with 10 seconds left in the third quarter.

Less than four minutes earlier, Craig Reynolds scored on a fourth-down run to put the Lions ahead 17-10.

Mayfield threw a touchdown pass to Cade Otton with 15 seconds left in the first half to tie the game at 10.

Starting from its 8-yard line with 1:27 remaining in the first half, Tampa Bay drove 92 yards to tie the game on Mayfield’s 2-yard toss to Otton with 15 seconds left in the half. Back-to-back completions of 27 and 29 yards to Mike Evans set up the score.

The Lions had taken a 10-3 lead on a 9-yard touchdown pass from Jared Goff to Josh Reynolds early in the second quarter.

Chase McLaughlin and Michael Badgley exchanged field goals in the first quarter, which ended in a 3-3 tie.

Badgley converted from 23 yards after a C.J. Gardner-Johnson interception gave the Lions the ball in Bucs territory. McLaughlin was good from 43 yards on Tampa Bay’s next possession, tying the game.

McLaughlin hit the left upright on a 50-yard attempt late in the second quarter.

The Bucs can move within one win of the Super Bowl with a second straight victory over a team that defeated them during the regular season. The Lions defeated the Bucs 20-6 Oct. 15 in Tampa, part of a stretch in which Tampa Bay lost four games in a row and six of seven.

But the Bucs have won six of their last seven games, including 32-9 over the Eagles in last weekend’s wild-card game. That win knocked the Eagles out of the playoffs and avenged a 25-11 loss to Philadelphia in September.
