Following the £10.7 million revelation, Emi Martinez will persuade pal Paulo Dybala to join Aston Villa during the January transfer window.

Bryan King, a former goalkeeper who worked as a scout at Aston Villa for more than ten years and in first-team scouting jobs for a total of twenty-eight years, is a fantastic new columnist that Villa News is thrilled to have on board. Bryan also worked as a scout for Everton for eight years and for Tottenham for six years.

Bryan King thinks Emiliano Martinez’s friendship with Paulo Dybala, the star striker for Roma, may work in the striker’s favor if he decides to sign with Aston Villa.

A release provision in his contract allows clubs outside of Italy to recruit the former Juventus player for €13 million (£10.7 million) this month, according to the Daily Player (1 January).

The friend of Villa goalie Martinez, the Argentine international, has made 18 appearances this season and scored six goals.

“He sounds like a winner,” King stated in an interview with Villa News. Martinez has emerged victorious from the World Cup. Additionally, since Martinez will already be familiar with the new player, it’s a smart move to add him to the football team if they are buddies.

“I would have thought Jose Mourinho wouldn’t be too happy if he’d been a regular member of the Roma team, so it sounds like his fee must have been sorted out before he went to Roma.”

Despite not having his greatest season in front of goal, Dybala, 30, has yet to manage to rack up six goals and six assists.

The manager of Aston Villa, Unai Emery, has demonstrated his willingness to bolster his attacking options by signing players like Nicolo Zaniolo and Moussa Diaby.

And should the Midlands club decide to take advantage of the attacker’s modest release clause, Dybala might join them this month.
