Wrexham and Birmingham competing over sharp 20-goal striker…

Notts County may struggle to retain the attacker in the face of outside interest.

Langstaff, 26, has scored 20 goals in all competitions this season, with 19 of them coming in the league.

HITC Sports claim Sunderland, Wrexham, Birmingham, Derby County, and Peterborough United are fans. Earlier this month, CoventryLive reported that Coventry City is also monitoring his progress.

Sunderland, Wrexham, and Birmingham City are interested in signing Notts County’s Langstaff, who is under contract until the summer of 2027. The club is unlikely to sell him unless they receive an irresistible offer.

He has been with Meadow Lane since 2022 and scored 42 goals in 48 games last season, helping the Magpies and Wrexham win promotion from the National League. He has since adapted well to life in the Football League and has continued his goal-scoring heroics without incident.

The forward has previously played for York City and Gateshead, and despite having spent the majority of his career in non-league, he is now being followed by other Football League clubs.

Sunderland are seeking for promotion to the Premier League and may consider him as someone who can assist them reach the play-offs.

Birmingham are hoping to climb the Championship table under new manager Tony Mowbray. Meanwhile, ambitious Wrexham are second in the fourth tier league, and enticing Langstaff to the Racecourse Ground would be a significant show of purpose from Phil Parkinson’s side.
