Aston Villa And Leeds United Favourite Announces Retirement With Heartfelt Message

Aston Villa favorite has sent a heartfelt message announcing his retirement.
The former winger has acknowledged that his lengthy playing career is coming to an end.

Robert Snodgrass, a former loanee of Aston Villa, has declared his retirement from professional football.

After 20 years as a footballer, the 36-year-old has declared he has hung up his boots. He last competed for Hearts at the end of the previous season.

The Scottish player had a fruitful season on loan at Villa Park in addition to playing for Leeds United the majority of the time. He also represented West Ham and Hull City.

Steve Bruce signed the winger during the 2017–18 season, and he was rewarded with 40 Championship games, 14 assists, and seven goals. But when Villa lost to Fulham in the play-off final that year, they failed to reach their goal.

After making a comeback to West Ham, Snodgrass moved on to play for West Brom, Luton, and then Hearts. He ended up earning 28 caps for his nation. He announced the end of his career on social media, writing:

“I have officially retired from professional football after 20 years of play, and I have made the decision to put up my boots.

“A little boy from Glasgow’s east end was able to fulfill his childhood dream for 20 years by playing at ten fantastic clubs, meeting incredible people, and forming relationships with the staff and community surrounding those clubs. I never would have imagined being able to represent my country, play over 600 games, score over 100 goals, and provide over 100 assists.
