MN: A “dream” of €30 million or more in January – Milan determines who could succeed Kjaer

Up to the end of the January transfer window, AC Milan intends to pursue their “winter dream” of signing Alessandro Buongiorno.

The following fifteen days will reveal, so far as Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews reports, whether this will remain a hope unfulfilled or whether Milan will benefit from an “incredible twist.”

There is currently very little possibility that Buongiorno will move to Milan. The cause? Although Torino’s president, Urbano Cairo, has demonstrated in the past that he will keep players on the team even if it means losing money in the long run, the team is currently looking to sell their captain for around €30 million.

We learn from the Andrea Belotti case that dealing with him and the Granata is not a simple task. Milan is making an effort, but they can’t meet Cairo’s January demand for the amount.

However, things might change if Toro was amenable to a “quid pro quo” to cut costs, such as Lorenzo Colombo leaving as a counterpart.

Milan will attempt again in the summer if they are unable to secure Buongiorno in January. The Rossoneri will have to make a central defense purchase because Simon Kjaer’s contract is set to expire in June.
