“We were due”… Callum Wilson has now made an unexpected assertion on Newcastle vs. Manchester City.

On Saturday, Newcastle United came dangerously close to defeating Manchester City, but the evening ended in sadness.

For a considerable amount of time, Newcastle led 2-1, but in stoppage time, they were stung. After Oscar Bobb scored a late goal for Manchester City, Pep Guardiola and his team let out a raucous celebration.

For a considerable amount of time, Newcastle led 2-1, but in stoppage time, they were stung. After Oscar Bobb scored a late goal for Manchester City, Pep Guardiola and his team let out a raucous celebration.

“We believed that we ought to have gained more from the match. We did a good job, in my opinion. We were worthy winners.

We challenged them to a duel and, regrettably, one of us emerged slightly more battered than the other. We didn’t win the game, but that’s life.

It’s difficult to support Callum Wilson’s position

Wilson, who was injured and missed the game, may be back before the end of January, but I’m not sure if I agree with him.

Sure, we played so brilliantly that it was unfortunate to lose so late in the game, but I don’t think we deserved to win. Manchester City performed admirably as well, and they would have been devastated to draw if they hadn’t won in stoppage time.

Newcastle did, however, play well. The annoying issue is that if we had some alternatives to use off the bench, it could have been so much better. De Bruyne was part of the Man City cavalry, and Lewis Hall was coming on to play out of position.

Newcastle probably could have won that game if they had fielded a complete roster. However, they were missing a lot of important players, like Wilson, and regrettably had insufficient players to survive.
