Authorities in Florida have named a suspect in the shooting death of a Buffalo Bills supporter who traveled from Canada to South Florida to witness his team’s divisional championship game, just after the team’s victory.
According to NBC Miami, Miami Gardens Police announced on Tuesday that they had spoken with the suspect but did not provide any other details.
Following a fight outside Hard Rock Stadium after Buffalo defeated the Miami Dolphins, 21-14, to win the AFC East, Bills supporter Dylan Isaacs, 30, was shot and killed. Late on Sunday, while Isaacs and his pals were leaving the stadium, they got into a fight with an unidentified man who was apparently trying to purposefully hit them with his car while they were crossing the street.
At that point, Isaacs and his pals are said to have had a verbal altercation with the driver of a Honda Accord, who the police claim was operating the vehicle erratically and had struck a pedestrian.
After that, the driver allegedly got out of the Accord and started shooting Isaacs and his pals many times. Isaacs was hit, according to the police, and the shooter left the area.
Police reported that they had located and seized the suspect’s vehicle in West Palm Beach.
Before passing away on Sunday night, Isaacs, a resident of Ontario and a member of the Six Nations Native American community, is said to have spoken with his mother, Susan Isaacs, via FaceTime.
