Aston Villa follow Newcastle United’s lead again after £40m deal

For the 2024–2025 season, Newcastle United and Aston Villa will remain inextricably linked, as they already are.

Last season, the Magpies achieved the unimaginable by earning a Champions League spot. Being the first team outside of the “big six” to qualify for Europe’s premier competition since Leicester City was an amazing feat.

Something like to Eddie Howe’s side’s upset of the establishment could occur this season.

Aston Villa is replicating Newcastle’s success this season. They are presently ranked second in the Premier League and have been amazing thus far. In fact, as they pose a danger to contend for the crown, they are surpassing Newcastle’s performance from the previous campaign.

The Magpies and Unai Emery’s squad have been defying convention in their quest to unseat the typical crowd at the top of the Premier League, and they will now wear identical shirts.

Spurs and Aston Villa both have Adidas deals.
Adidas will manufacture Newcastle United’s uniforms for the upcoming campaign, as was stated last year. For the 2024–2025 season, the German company will make a comeback to Tyneside and will pay the Magpies £40 million annually to supply the team’s new uniforms.

They will take Castore’s position, ending the British brand’s contract early.

According to a report published in the Telegraph, Aston Villa plans to follow suit.

They state that Villa has a multi-year agreement with Adidas to manufacture its uniforms starting in the upcoming season, which implies that Castore will be swapped out.

Catastrophe for Castore
For Castore, who has just benefited from several enormous agreements, everything is going wrong. Although several clubs decided to cooperate with them, things have not always gone as planned.

Newcastle United supporters did not have the finest start on Tyneside with the “four” kit from the 2021–2022 season, and there were many grievances voiced by them.

Due to the poor quality of the shirts, Aston Villa has also experienced issues and has even complained about the brand earlier in the season. The Villa players were obviously sweating profusely at the beginning of the season, and their jerseys were making them feel heavy.

Although Newcastle did issue a statement in September defending the caliber of Castore’s equipment, its partnership with the Magpies will expire this season.

In addition to returning to Tyneside, Adidas is its route to Villa Park.
