Steven Gerrard Sees Al-Ettifaq Bringing In Two Players For Aston Villa And Liverpool
Journalist Ben Jacobs claims that Steven Gerrard has talked of raiding former teams Aston Villa and Liverpool for two players during the upcoming summer transfer window.
After a strong start, Gerrard has been having trouble in Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ettifaq. The team is currently seventh in the Saudi Pro League and hasn’t won since October.
Still, he is looking ahead, thinking considering the transaction the team will carry out during the summer transfer window.
During a three-hour recruitment meeting, Gerrard addressed possible swoops for Joel Matip of Liverpool and Bertrand Traore of Aston Villa.
For the summer transfer window, Al-Ettifaq has the two firmly on his radar.
During this month’s transfer window, Turkish club Fenerbahce is interested in signing former Rangers winger Ryan Kent.
Jordan Henderson is rumored to want to leave the team, therefore Gerrard and his important ally Mark Allen are scheduled to chat with him next week.
After struggling to fit in with Saudi football, Henderson is eager to leave Al-Ettifaq, but the team hasn’t gotten any offers yet.
