Despite sending scouts to see AZ Alkmaar striker Vangelis Pavlidis, Fulham are yet to make a bid for him.
According to AZ technical director Max Huiberts, the club would aim to keep the player after his performances this season.
According to a source from Greece last month, Fulham dispatched a scout to study Pavlidis, who has 18 goals in 16 Eredivisie games this season and 22 goals in 27 games in all competitions, as they aim to bolster their striker options.
According to the source, because Pavlidis was entering the final year of his contract this year, there could be a deal done for him, especially since the player has stated he will not renew.
They would have to offer more than €15 million for him, as AC Milan had a bid for that amount rejected, but there was a deal to be done for the player.
Huiberts, on the other hand, claims that neither Fulham nor anybody else has made an official offer for the striker yet, and that even if they do, he could be persuaded to stay until the conclusion of the season.
“We are aware that several clubs are looking for a good striker. “And Pavlidis is that,” he explained to Langs de Lijn.
“However, no one has come forward specifically.” And he knows that if he keeps performing like this, he will most likely make a really nice move at the conclusion of the season.”
