West Ham agrees asking price to sign new 27 y/o int’L who left Mane “impressed”..

According to reports, West Ham is willing to pay a club’s asking price in order to recruit their attacker, who “really impressed” Sadio Mane, the former Liverpool player.

In January, West Ham began looking for a new striker.
Even though Jarrod Bowen has flourished this season in his shift to a more central offensive role under David Moyes, it’s still possible that West Ham will recruit a new striker in January.

Due to his travels to represent Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations, Mohammed Kudus will be missing for a significant portion of this month, and Moyes doesn’t seem to think highly of Danny Ings. The injury to Michail Antonio has also prevented him from playing, so the Hammers are somewhat limited in terms of natural and temporary striker alternatives.

As a result, Hugo Ekitike of PSG and Dominic Solanke of Bournemouth are reportedly targets for West Ham this month as Moyes looks to secure yet another European qualification spot by the end of 2023–2024.

Some followers may be aware with Salernitana striker Boulaye Dia, who was reportedly linked to a summer 2021 move to east London.

Back then, Sky Sports reported that West Ham was interested in Dia to take Sebastien Haller’s spot. It seems the club is still quite fond of the Senegal international.

West Ham is prepared to pay Dia’s requested price.

West Ham and German team Eintracht Frankfurt are willing to pay Salernitana’s asking price for Dia, according to Italian news source Il Mattino.

West Ham is willing to match the Serie A club’s valuation of approximately £14 million, which they have set for Dia’s January sale. There seems to be a competition building for the 27-year-old’s signature as Napoli is also interested in signing him.

The African made a permanent move from Villarreal to Salernitana in the summer after scoring 16 goals in 33 league games while on loan there the previous season. Given how highly regarded Dia could be in England, several media outlets have even reported that Arsenal is considering making a move for him to bolster their own attacking line.
