TN star receives offer from TN; shortly, she intends to visit the UK
Kinney is quickly rising to prominence in the 2026 class.
A significant SEC offer has just made to one of Kentucky’s best players.
The Tennessee Volunteers have extended a scholarship offer to guard Taylen Kinney of the class of 2026.
Newport, Kentucky native Kinney made the announcement on Christmas Eve.
Newport High School’s 6-foot-1, 160-pound guard Kinney is on the team. Among the schools that have made offers to him are Cincinnati, Illinois, Louisville, Notre Dame, and Texas A&M.
Tyran Stokes, a 5-star power forward, is the only recruit that John Calipari and the staff have made an offer for out of the class of 2026 thus far, therefore it is still early to start recruiting in that class.
Nonetheless, it is evident that both parties are interested, as seen by Kinney’s October visit to Kentucky for Big Blue Madness.
Additionally, Kinney stated in a recent interview with the Louisville Courier-Journal that Orlando Antigua is his main recruiter and that he intends to return to the school to see a practice.
Perhaps Kinney will someday join the likes of Dominique Hawkins, Derek Willis, Dontaie Allen, Reed Sheppard, and most recently, Travis Perry, as Kentucky has been attracting more Bluegrass recruits to stay in the state.
Kentucky could step up its pursuit of the budding Bluegrass star Kinney if he can keep producing on the floor like he has so far this high school season.
Check out a few little clips of him in action in the interim!
