Journalist sends four-word message when asked if Leeds want to sign Burnley Brilliant star man

“Not heard that one,” he posted on his personal Twitter account [4 January].

No room for him

Twine has spent the first half of the 2023-24 campaign on loan in the second tier with Hull City and has impressed with four goals and three assists in 24 appearances.

There is certainly a home for him in the Championship, then, particularly as he does not look to be part of Vincent Kompany’s plans as long as Burnley are in the Premier League.

Talk of Bristol City being interested makes sense, but it is difficult to see where exactly he would fit in at Leeds United right now.

Twine is flexible in that he can play across the front-line, but Daniel Farke has plenty of options, both in terms of first-team regulars and back-ups.

While Farke would no doubt like to add to his squad in the next few weeks, an attacking midfielder is not expected to be near the top of his list. It is therefore no surprise to read there is nothing in this particular rumour.

In other Leeds United news, a billionaire’s son is reportedly “obsessed” with the idea of making a huge change at Elland Road.
