Bulls limp Through Back-To-Back Ahead Of LaVine’s Imminent Return

Bulls falter in their back-to-back before LaVine’s upcoming return

Starting in 2024, things wouldn’t be any easier for the Chicago Bulls, who had finished 2023 with a huge victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. This is because Philly was overdue for a rematch, and this time around, MVP winner Joel Embiid would be healthy enough to lead the way against a depleted Bulls squad.

It wouldn’t take long for Chicago to face even more difficulties on that front, as they were already having difficulty adjusting to the losses of Zach LaVine, Nikola Vucevic, Torrey Craig, and Lonzo Ball. This is because two ankle injuries forced Coby White and Patrick Williams to miss Tuesday’s rematch against the 76ers.

As one might anticipate, the Bulls lost the second game against Philadelphia after being unable to overcome such a great deal of hardship. Not that it was a very intimate affair, either. Embiid’s triple-double of 31 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists helped the 76ers build a 73-42 lead at the half, and they never looked back. Chicago had accumulated a good deal of momentum going into that game, but this defeat seemed like a fatal blow that may put the squad right back where it started.
