According to reports, Aston Villa is interested in Cyril Ngonge, a winger for Hellas Verona.
TuttoMercato claims that this is the case and calls the 23-year-old’s exit from the team a “very likely scenario.” Villa and other Premier League teams are alleged to have been monitoring Ngonge in “recent weeks.”
Verona is aware that when the window opens in the new year, it will be challenging to hold onto him.
The winger is reportedly valued at between €10 and €15 million by Verona, which is “not impossible” for English clubs.
The Serie A team is allegedly willing to let go of Ngonge in order to balance their budget. In 17 games across all competitions, he has contributed six goals.
“I never thought about not staying in Serie A and not playing there next season,” Ngonge remarked in reference to his tenure at Verona. Relegation was not an option for me. I had a goal when I got here, and I would have done anything to make it happen. For now, my future is certain. As I still have two years left on my Verona contract, I would assume that this is it.”
Ngonge left Dutch team Groningen in January of this year to join Verona on a free transfer.
