Longhorns Daily News: Texas, NIL heavyweights look to land fantastic Star Texas A&M transfer’s likely NCAA swan song
What do the Texas Longhorns, Alabama, Ole Miss and Florida State have in common?
They all want to land NCAA transfer portal receiver Evan Stewart – a former five-star recruit who’s spent the past two seasons with fired head coach Jimbo Fisher’s Texas A&M Aggies.
According to On3, there remains little insight into Stewart’s likely destination.
“I think the best player still on the board is probably Evan Stewart,” On3 analyst Pete Nakos said earlier this week. “I’ve heard Texas and Alabama rumored. I’ve also been told by sources that those at not really viable options. In recent days, I’ve heard Florida State thrown out there. I’ve heard Ole Miss. I’ve heard Tennessee. I’ve heard USC. I’ve heard Oregon.”
Nakos added, “I think we’ll get a better feel in the days to come but I will tell you right now. I don’t think he lands at Texas or Alabama.”
