Southampton chief reportedly ‘pleading’ to sign former club’s star see why

The reports suggest that Darren Mowbray, the head of recruitment for SAINTS, is ‘pleading’ with the club to sign Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski.

Mowbray joined St Mary’s from the Scottish team and was appointed Southampton’s transfer chief this summer during a personnel reorganization.

In his 27 appearances for Aberdeen this season, 24-year-old Miovski has scored 14 goals, including four in European tournaments.

In July 2022, Mowbray acquired Miovski from MTK Budapest for an approximate sum of £500,000. During his first season in the Scottish Premiership, Miovski demonstrated promise.

The Daily Record reports that as transfer interest in the forward heats up, Mowbray is pressuring the Saints to sign Miovski.

According to the report, Mowbray has been persistent in bringing up the name of the North Macedonian international to Saints boss Russell Martin.

Ross Stewart, a Scotland international, was acquired by Saints on the final day of the summer transfer window from Sunderland; however, Stewart will not play this season.
