Il Secolo XIX claimed four days ago that Genoa were interested in Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Fábio Silva.
It was also suggested that the Premier League club could let the forward leave in the winter market.
According to Alfredo Pedullà’s website, the Wolves player is a possibility for the Serie A side next month.
He claims Genoa would strive to sign two to three new players in the winter market, with attack being one of the areas of concentration.
After his troubles at Molineux this season, the 21-year-old is mentioned because he ‘has been proposed’ to the Italian club. He has only one goal in ten games, which came in Wolves’ 5-0 win over Blackpool in the EFL Cup last season.
There’s a possibility that Gary O’Neil’s side will send him on loan in January and Genoa, along with Monza, have expressed interest in signing the Portugal U21 international.
Pedullà claims the interested parties should take care of Silva’s salary [around €1 million] until the end of the season.
The Serie A duo aren’t the only clubs, as O Jogo reported on Thursday that Celtic and Rangers are also in the battle to sign the Wolves player in January.
