Brentford are apparently contemplating Kyogo Furuhashi as a replacement for Ivan Toney, who is nearing the end of an eight-month betting ban.

Toney’s future is anticipated to be a focal point in the upcoming winter transfer window, with various top clubs expressing interest. While Brentford is hesitant to part ways with Toney, they are actively evaluating alternative options, and Furuhashi has emerged as a potential candidate to fill the void if Toney departs

Celtic’s Furuhashi is one of three prospective forward possibilities for the Bees in the January transfer window. Furuhashi has had a successful season with Celtic, scoring eight goals and giving three assists in 23 games. While Brentford is interested in Furuhashi, the potential financial demands from Celtic, combined with the forward’s contract until 2027, may make the trade difficult.

In addition to Celtic’s talisman, Brentford are allegedly interested in Velez Sarsfield’s Santiago Castro and AS Roma’s Andrea Belotti.

Because of his youth and potential, Santiago Castro, a 19-year-old striker, is considered as a possible value-for-money alternative.

While Andrea Belotti of Roma is another player of interest to Brentford, the likelihood of more playing time influences his decisions. Because of his expertise and superb ability to hold up the ball and link play, the Italian may be the natural alternative for Toney.
