West Ham United are hoping to add a new forward to their squad in January and are allegedly keen on Chelsea’s Armando Broja.
The Chelsea striker began against Everton at the weekend but made little influence as the Blues surrendered points once again in the Premier League.
Broja has drawn loving eyes from several clubs in recent months, but it appears that West Ham will be the most aggressive.
According to Football Transfers, West Ham will make a move for Broja as they seek a new striker for David Moyes to work with.
The Hammers’ 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Fulham this weekend has left the manager perplexed, and he is eager to add some extra firepower to the ranks.
According to Football Transfers, Chelsea values Broja at roughly £17.5 million.
Broja can help West Ham but he needs to improve
To be fair to the Chelsea striker, he hasn’t had many chances to shine, and we all witnessed how good he could be while on loan at Southampton.
However, time has passed and there has been little evidence of genuine development from the Albanian international.
Clearly, Chelsea require a striker who can consistently score goals, while Broja requires a move to a club where he will have more opportunities to play.
Broja can clearly play and was described as’sensational’ during his time with Southampton.
David Moyes may believe he can turn Broja into a player and provide his team with another goal threat down the middle.
