Tottenham star hits back at Callum Wilson after his ‘disrespectful’ comments

Newcastle striker Callum Wilson was left enraged by Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario last night after he made faces at him in the dying minutes of the game.

This resulted in a post-match clash between the two of them with Wilson calling out the Spurs man for being ‘disrespectful’ after the match.

In his post-match interview with Sky Sports, he said:

“There’s a way to win, isn’t there? I think we’ve seen it in the week when Everton were winning and [Jordan] Pickford was messing around.

“You know, the goalkeeper [Vicario] for the header, he starts pulling faces and messing around, it’s just a lack of respect I thought. But I said my piece, we’re grown men, we move on.”

Soon after his comments, the Italian goalkeeper responded to him with a 8 word message on his Instagram.

He reposted Sky Sports’ post with Wilson’s comments on his story with the caption: “Respect is given to everyone that respects me!”

This certainly adds fuel to the fire making the return fixture at St James Park a potently fiery affair.

Spurs’ win over Newcastle was their first in 5 games and Ange will hope that this reignites their brilliant form that saw them go 10 games unbeaten in the start of the campaign.

Their next game is against Everton who have been on fine recent form beating Chelsea and Newcastle in their last two games.
