The manager of Charlton Athletic has requested an update on the contracts of ‘OUTSTANDING STAR’ and Dobson.
Michael Appleton was unable to provide any contract talk update in regards to Corey Blackett-Taylor and George Dobson after Charlton’s 2-2 draw with Cambridge United yesterday.
The pair are both set to be free agents in the summer.
Blackett-Taylor collected his sixth assist of the season in the match against the U’s, Chem Campbell heading home his cross from the left of the box. That is the joint most in the division along with Blackpool’s CJ Hamilton, Peterborough’s Kwame Poku and Derby’s Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.

“Yeah obviously, as you know, I leave that to the hierarchy to deal with contracts and stuff,” said head coach Appleton, when asked about the fact there has been radio silence on Blackett-Taylor and Dobson’s situations.
“All I can say is them two are turning up, they are doing their work and they are very much contributing to the team at the minute.
“Every now and again their levels will drop but I would say both of them have been reasonably consistent this year and Corey has his moments. He’ll be frustrated some times that he doesn’t get into games earlier than he probably does and it goes a little bit longer.
“In terms of Dobbo, it wasn’t his best game today but he’s been outstanding since I came through the door. He has been a leader. He’s got the captain’s armband and he has been a leader, on and off the pitch.
“I know he’ll be one that I can rely on every single week.”
