Leeds United are flying at the moment, sitting third in the Championship table and emerging as genuine candidates for automatic promotion to the Premier League.

On Saturday, they defeated Blackburn Rovers 2-0 away from home, and Jon Dahl Tomasson admitted that Leeds looked like a Premier League regular.

Daniel Farke’s team is now prepared for another difficult away journey to Sunderland on Tuesday night.

The Black Cats, who fired Tony Mowbray last week, defeated West Brom 2-1 at the weekend, but Collins warned Sunderland not to expect Leeds to sit back at the Stadium of Light.

He is confident that the Whites will seek to take control of the game even while they are on the road, and he anticipates an open and enjoyable game between the two teams.

“They will be confident coming in here on Tuesday night,” Collins told Sunderland’s internal media.

“I don’t think they’re going to come up here and sit deep.

“Leeds will come up here and try and take control of the game and it will be an open one.”

Sunderland are sixth in the Championship table and are aiming to hire a new manager soon.
