AC Milan legend  on Manchester United speculation: “I would only consider an offer from a high-level foreign team”…

Former Milan sporting director and club legend Paolo Maldini has revealed that he would only evaluate offers from teams of a high level from outside of Italy.

Maldini’s acrimonious exit still stings a host of Milan fans, and considering how their season has been, it is no surprise that the club veteran is being missed at the club. Apart from bringing about a sense of recruitment, Maldini was also a figure that Milan players looked up to and sought inspiration from.

With the dust from his Milan exit settled, Maldini spoke to La Repubblica about a host of issues, and he also spoke about his future. The English press has linked the Italian with a move to Manchester United, but he has also been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

Maldini spoke about his future and stated, “For my job, the alternatives to Milan are very limited. I could never go to another Italian team; possibly I would only evaluate the offer of a high-level foreign team. I like winning and building. Saudi Arabia could be a stimulating option; who knows?”

Milan had sold Sandro Tonali in the summer transfer window, and that had made multiple Rossoneri faithfuls unhappy. While signings were made by the club, the state of the season shows that things aren’t right and they could be dumped out of the Champions League soon.
