He should not be kept ‘by force  “Let him go” – Club urged to let Wolves target leave in January…

Earlier on Thursday, we reported that Wolverhampton Wanderers had joined the race to sign Victor Nelsson from Galatasaray.

Already looking for a way out in the summer, the Denmark international was denied, and he now has to wait until January at the earliest for something to happen.

Former player and manager Ümit Karan, speaking on Sky Spor’s YouTube channel and relayed by Kucuk Saat, claimed that Wolves are considering a move, and there are some who would gladly see him leave Istanbul.

He said, “Nelsson didn’t inspire much confidence either. Can you keep a player by force? Then let him go. No one is bigger than Galatasaray. Okan [Buruk] will open the door and take him out. I’d fire him. I would send the player who doesn’t want to stay away.”

Therefore, the feeling is very much that a move to Wolves, or anywhere else, would be best for the centre-back, whose heart seemingly is no longer at Galatasaray.

Whether that helps the Premier League side get their man in January remains to be seen, but it’s worth noting that the 25-year-old has fallen out of favour at his club of late, starting just one game so far in the Champions League, in the opener against FC Copenhagen.
