The ‘Evening with David Norris’ will take place at Home Park in March and raise funds for The Brain Tumor Charity
An ‘Evening with David Norris’ will be held at Home Park in March on a night to remember the late great Paul Mariner and raise funds for The Brain Tumor Charity.
The special event will take place on Sunday, March 3, the day after the championship clash between Argyle and Ipswich Town the previous afternoon.
Like Mariner did during his illustrious career, Norris played for Argyle and Ipswich, and he will share some memories of his time at both clubs at the Home Park fundraiser.
Mariner passed away in July 2021 due to brain cancer at the age of 68, but his outstanding contribution to both Argyle and Ipswich lives on.
The Kevin Beattie Foundation, in collaboration with Argyle Legends, is hosting the ‘Evening with David Norris’. It will also feature special guests of former players who will share their memories of Mariner.
Organiser Malcolm Thompson, of the KBF, said: “In the past our night to remember Paul was incredibly successful, selling out and raising £8k for The Brain Tumour Charity. We aspire to achieve the same level of success this time as well.
“The evening will also include a bumper raffle and auction with generous donations, promising an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
“We are looking for a main sponsor who will have the opportunity to host a table of ten guests close to the stage. You will also benefit from promotional exposure in our special souvenir programme, on our social media platforms and more.
“Additionally, if you would like to place an advertisement in our special souvenir programme, we offer this opportunity, and it comes with two complimentary tickets for the event.
