Latest injury news ahead of Fiorentina: Leo, Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, and more | Milan is open to accepting a new Krunic offer in January…

This evening, there will be updates on the health of a slew of Milan players.

The Rossoneri will, of course, make their post-international break return to play this weekend when they host Fiorentina in a Serie A match at San Siro.

The topic of personnel issues has taken center stage in Milanello in the run-up to the game.

This comes after a slew of Stefano Pioli’s players were forced to spend time on the treatment table as a result of an unforeseen injury bug.

And if the latest media reports are correct, several of these talents are expected to be unavailable for selection this weekend.

As per a report from Calciomercato, all of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Simon Kjaer, and Rafael Leo missed training on Tuesday.

The latter is certain to miss out against Fiorentina, with both Loftus-Cheek and Kjaer viewed as serious doubts.

Christian Pulisic and Davide Calabria, on the other hand, took part in personalized training programs today and could therefore mark their respective returns next time out.

Olivier Giroud, meanwhile, is suspended, with Ismaël Bennacer, Pierre Kalulu, and youngster Marco Pellegrino long-term absentees.

Rade Krunic’s future with AC Milan remains in limbo, and he could leave the club in January, a report claims. The contract renewal has not been defined, and in the event of an offer, he would likely say goodbye.

Kurnic was a crucial player at the start of this season due to Ismael Bennacer’s injury. However, after getting injured himself, the Bosnian has struggled to perform, and the Algerian’s return is now around the corner.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below), the contract renewal has not been defined, with the parties having very different views on the new salary. In the event of an offer in January, Milan is therefore willing to say yes.

It could be Rossoneri’s last chance to properly monetize Krunic’s departure, seeing as his contract will expire in 2025. He would have just one year left in the summer, and Milan would certainly be in a tough negotiating position.

Fenerbahce were very interested in the summer, even making an offer, and it remains to be seen if they will make a new attempt in January. Krunic would accept an offer from them, as the report concludes, and the feeling is that Milan now would as well.
