Clear identity, tactical intelligence, and a big tackle | What Millwall fans want to see against Coventry City…

Joe Edwards will have the task of improving the Lions’ home form

First choice Millwall goalkeeper Matija Sarkic is back in contention to face Coventry City at The Den this weekend. The 26-year-old summer signing from Wolverhampton Wanderers started the campaign for the Championship club but has missed 11 games with a quad muscle injury picked up around the time of September’s 1-1 draw against Birmingham City.

That game featured the former Aston Villa stopper giving away a penalty and then saving the subsequent spot-kick. He is now ready to return for the Lions’ next league match and will be looking to pressurise Bartosz Bialkowski, who has been featuring in his place over the past two months.

“He’s back. He’s in contention for selection now but he’s been training for this whole international period,” Millwall boss Joe Edwards told the Southwark News. The only fresh injury concern for the Sky Blues’ next opponents is defender Danny McNamara who has taken a knock on the knee that leaves him “touch and go” for Saturday.
