Rotherham United are on the look out for a new Manager – but are we any nearer getting one in?To be honest, it’s all been very quiet at the New York Stadium since Matt Taylor was given his P45. But I don’t necessarily think that’s a bad thing.
Rotherham United now identified a perfect new manager with 3 major trophy
While we (and by ‘we’ I mean the fans) have been bandying about who the new man in the dugout should be (we’ve even had other clubs’ fans trying to palm their managers on us!) it seems the club have been going about their business in a private way.
Some people ‘we’ have ‘suggested’ have, usually former managers or players, either ruled themselves out or been ruled out by people better in the know than we are while some others haven’t batted an eyelid.
Having decided to get rid of Taylor I think a lot of us thought that there was already someone waiting to come into the job – obviously we were wrong. I, personally, think it was the wrong call not to have anyone in the wings unless, of course, we did and it all went pear shape which is something we will probably never know.
Chairman Tony Stewart has already made it known that he wants someone in who has already had experience at Championship level so I think we can rule out the latest from the Football League World who think Pete Wild at Barrow would be good for either us or Bristol Rovers who are also on the look out for a new manager.
I suppose the next question is ‘will we have anyone in for the Leeds United visit on Friday night’?
Honestly, I don’t know.
