Bantams back at square one as Alexander seeks for new slate as they loan out third kid to Clayton…

Graham Alexander feels that this weekend’s trip to high-flying Notts County has provided him with a platform. He maintains that City’s match against Barrow on Saturday was “ground zero” for the team.

The Bantams have now lost seven of their 17 league games following a 2-1 victory against the Cumbrians at Valley Parade. However, Alexander is eager to reduce the statistics to a far more straightforward formula.

“I’ve told the players that we’ve got to look at this as game one of our season, not game seventeen,” he said to the T&A following the match.

“There will be new ideas and a fresh start, and I want the team to sense that.”

“I’m looking forward to training this week because we’ve got something to work on now.

“When you’re working off other games, you’ve had no input in that, so it’s really difficult to go off those.

“Now we’ve got something of ours to work off and improve upon.”
