The Scottish Premiership opener between Rangers and Livingston was described as “strange” by manager Philippe Clement of Rangers.
Speaking following the team’s Europa League victory over Sparta Prague, the Belgian coach was rapidly returning attention to his responsibilities in the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers will play Aris Limassol at Ibrox on matchday five of the Europa League, and they are currently one victory away from qualifying from Group C.
But even if Rangers finish at 10 p.m. on Thursday, they are scheduled to play away at Livingston at 12 p.m. Philippe Clement has stated that the team’s primary focus will be on league play, challenging his teammates to “adapt” to the problematic kickoff time.
Speaking following Rangers’ victory over Sparta Prague in the Europa League, manager Philippe Clement also praised the team’s fan base.
The Ibrox crowd was enthusiastic throughout the triumph over the Czech team, and the Belgian manager says the supporters live up to his expectations.
Clement remarked, “It was amazing and exactly what I expected.” “I have really high hopes for the stadium, the spectators, and the overall environment.
“I adore this heritage, this atmosphere, and this enthusiasm since I am a football freak, which was another reason I came here.
“I liked it because I’m a passionate football fan as well.”
Prior to a two-week international break, Rangers go to Livingston in the Scottish Premiership. Following the break, Philippe Clement’s team will play a demanding 12 games.
