Luton Town hopes to snap a 16-game losing streak at Old Trafford when they visit Manchester United on Saturday.
Just eight goals have been put into the Red Devils’ goal by the Hatters since their 1938 debut until their 1991 final visit.
Learn below to learn who has been the target for the visitors.
1. January 15, 1938: Charlie Ferguson
Luton’s first ever goal at Old Trafford came on January 15, 1938, in a Division One contest that the visitors lost 4-2. Town were trailing 3-0 at halftime, with Tommy Bamford, Billy Bryant, and Bill McKay all finding the net for the Red Devils, but managed to pull one back when Ferguson swung in a corner that flew over goalkeeper Tommy Breen’s head and into the net.
2. January 15, 1938: Billy Redfern
Just after Ferguson had gotten Luton back into the game, Redfern then headed George Stephenson’s cross past home stopper Tommy Breen and into the net to make it 3-2. Unfortunately, any hopes of a comeback were dashed when Johnny Carey scored soon afterwards to add United’s fourth
3. Oct 1, 1955: George Cummins
A Division One contest saw the Hatters lead for 18 minutes when Jimmy Adam was fouled in the area by Freddie Goodwin, allowing Cummins to beat Ray Wood from the penalty spot. Town stayed ahead until halftime, but then conceded three times in 13 minutes after the break, with Tommy Taylor scoring twice and Colin Webster also on target.
4. December 1, 1956: Tony Gregory
This Division One contest saw the Hatters trailing 3-0 to their hosts, with Duncan Edwards, Tommy Taylor, and David Pegg scoring, as Tony Gregory managed to pull one back for the Hatters with what turned out to be a consolation.
5. November 22, 1958: George Cummins
United had the perfect start as Dennis Viollet put the hosts ahead in the first minute, with Bobby Charlton (pictured) adding a second soon afterwards. Cummins then pulled one back, netting his second goal at Old Trafford. As Town might have left with a point, Billy Bingham was brought down by goalkeeper Harry Gregg, who then managed to save Gordon Turner’s attempt from 12 yards.
6. November 21, 1959: John Kilgannon
Albert Quixall’s diving header had put the Red Devils ahead before Luton hit back five minutes into the second half when John Grove’s effort was spilled by United keeper Harry Gregg, and John Kilgannon tucked home the rebound. However, Dennis Viollet put United back in front on 68 minutes as Freddie Goodwin blasted home from 25 yards, Viollet adding a second late on
7. March 3, 1990: Kingsley Black
After Iain Dowie missed a great chance early on, United led through Brian McClair’s goal on 22 minutes, before Mark Hughes volleyed past Alec Chamberlain. Danny Wallace made it 3-0 on the stroke of halftime, as Mark Robins added a fourth just after the hour mark. Kingsley Black pulled one back, with Luton netting their first goal since 1959, ending a run of seven matches without scoring.
8. March 23, 1991: David Preece
Luton still couldn’t get a first win at Old Trafford as they were beaten 4-1 for the second successive match. Steve Bruce opened the scoring in seven minutes before Town leveled when David Preece sent a 30-yarder past ex-Town stopper Les Sealey. After the break, Bruce scored again, with Lee Sharpe and Brian McClair completing the victory.
