PRIOR Danny Rowe, a striker for Bradford City, left Macclesfield FC after just one month because of an unspecified medical issue.

The 33-year-old was not present for the team’s 1-0 victory at Marske United in the Northern Premier League Premier Division four days after he had played the entire ninety minutes for them in their Cheshire Cup victory over Sanbach United on October 31.

“Macclesfield FC can confirm that striker Danny Rowe will be leaving the football club,” the statement that the team posted on their website yesterday purported to allay any doubts.

After playing the entire ninety minutes against Sandbach United, Danny thought it was the proper time to leave the football team because of an underlying medical condition.

“Everyone at Macclesfield FC would like to thank Danny for his efforts and wish him all the best for the future.”

In 2020–21, Rowe participated in 18 League Two games for the Bantams, tallying five goals, one of which was a thrilling late equalizer at Valley Parade against Bolton.
