The player who gave a flawless performance against Hull City might be retained by West Brom…

On Saturday afternoon, West Brom defeated Hull City 3-1, with Grady Diangana shining.
With goals from Semi Ajayi, Matt Phillips, and Jed Wallace, West Brom defeated Hull City, one of their top six competitors, very easily on Saturday.

Carlos Corberan’s team put on a strong display, moving up to fifth position in the standings and only two points behind Leeds United in second.

And one man in particular shone out on Saturday: Diangana, a 25-year-old who has three assists and two goals in 10 Championship games this season, set up goals for Phillips and Ajayi.

Birmingham Live rated his performance a 9/10 on Saturday, adding:

“A solid performance for Diangana. He pressed high up the pitch, forcing Hull to make mistakes in the first half. Tormented Jacob Greaves down the wing and assisted twice.”

Diangana signs permanent deal with West Brom

Diangana was reportedly up for sale in the summer along with a number of other first-team players at The Hawthorns, with finances seemingly tight at the minute.

West Brom needs to keep hold of Diangana.

The team lost a lot of money on Diangana in 2019, and many believe he hasn’t yet reached his full potential.

It’s unclear, though, if Diangana is still one of the players up for sale given that he has shown flashes of being a very excellent player under Corberan and his strong recent play.

If he keeps up his fantastic work, January might be an excellent moment to profit. However, Corberan will undoubtedly be fighting to hold onto him because he has been a vital player in recent weeks and might play a significant role in West Brom’s promotion push this year.
