Report: Nottingham Forest is looking to sign 21 y/o in January and wants to replicate their “quality.” .

Nottingham Forest is hoping to sign a right-footed version of Murillo in January since they are so impressed with him! The unwavering center back was acquired by the Reds from the Corinthians in the summer, and he has quickly made his way into the starting lineup.

When Murillo was signed by Forest from the Brazilian top division, it cost them a pitiful £11 million. Although it was thought that he might serve as a backup in the near future, that hasn’t happened.

In the 1-1 draw with Brentford, he made his debut. Since then, he has been starting for Crystal Palace, Luton, and Liverpool. The player has made his presence known on Trentside, and Forest is impressed.

Forest-eyed, right-footed Murillo
This is quite an interesting claim from The Athletic. If Forest can land a right-sided version of Murillo, they would have quite a defensive unit, and it will be interesting to see which sort of player fits the criteria.

Murillo is among the quality defenders at City Ground. On Sunday, he played alongside Moussa Niakhate and Willy Boly, but Felipe, Joe Worrall, Scott McKenna, and Andrew Omobamidele were also at the club.

This suggestion makes it sound as though Evangelos Marinakis will continue to back the club in January. Forest did sell Brennan Johnson for close to £50 million in the summer, signing seven players on transfer deadline day.

Murillo looks the real deal

Stephen Warnock claimed on Sunday that Steve Cooper would have been enraged at Forest defender Murillo. Perhaps he was irritated by his own mistake in the heat of the moment, but the head coach understands that inexperienced players make mistakes.

Murillo appears to be a high-caliber product created by the Reds. He didn’t cost the planet, and it would be class if Forest could land a different player.

Murillo can carry the ball out of the back with a daring style that would be highly advantageous going forward.
