Latest Aston Villa news: Gabby Agbonlahor admits it ‘would be funny’ to go and watch Birmingham City play.

Former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor says “it would be funny” to go and watch Birmingham City play because they “lose every game”.

Agbonlahor was talking about Villa’s arch-rivals and their investment in NFL legend Tom Brady. He explained the bizarre reason he would not accept an invitation to board Brady’s private yacht, but said he would happily go and watch Blues play.

“One reason why I wouldn’t is that I don’t really like going on yachts or boats,” Agbonlahor told talkSPORT. “I don’t really like the sea—there’s too much going on underneath me; even when I go on jet skis or boats, there’s too much danger down there. Sharks and whales—it scares me, so it’s a no from me, but we can negotiate.
“I would go and watch Birmingham City; it would be funny. They lose every game, so it would be a nice day out!

More seriously, Agbonlahor hopes the Blues succeed so that Villa can resume their intense Premier League battle. “I don’t mind Birmingham City doing well,” he remarked. I want Birmingham to come to the Premier League, I told a supporter of the team on the train the other day.

Why would you want your competitors to fail completely? It is dull. I want them up so that we may compete with one another and play those derby games, which are beneficial to the city.”
