Sunderland winger Jack Clarke is receiving strong praise from EFL pundits after his recent exploits.
Ex-Arsenal man says ‘unplayable’ Sunderland man ‘looks like a Premier League star’
Jack Clarke’s namesake, according to former Arsenal and Rotherham United player Adrian Clarke, “looks like a Premier League star.”
At the Stadium of Light on Saturday, Jack Clarke made his Sunderland debut against Norwich City, contributing to and scoring in the team’s 3-1 victory.
Jack Clarke, a former Leeds United and Tottenham player, now leads the Championship goalscoring table with nine goals this season after his second-half penalty goal.
Jack Clarke cannot be played. “He looks like a Premier League star when he’s in this form,” Adrian Clarke said in an interview with the podcast “What the EFL!?”
Someone is participating in the incorrect division. He had six shots and 14 dribbles during the game. I particularly like the run and pass that led to Dan Neil’s goal, which he scored, of course.
“Seeing Tony Mowbray speak about him, ‘unlocking the mystery,’ basically means that he’s a bit special, one of a kind, so he needs to be managed carefully, but it’s the right match,” the player said. “He’s a beautiful ball carrier.”
