AC Milan’s most valuable player faces four months out due to severe injury.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that following his thigh injury against Napoli on Sunday, Milan defender Pierre Kalulu will probably miss four months of activity.

At the Stadio Maradona this past weekend, the French defender was substituted after just eighteen minutes of play. It has surfaced that he sustained a lesion to his left thigh, necessitating a meeting with a physician and likely requiring surgery for the 23-year-old.

As stated on page five of La Gazzetta dello Sport’s printed edition from Tuesday, Kalulu will be sidelined for a minimum of four months.

According to the article, Kalulu is going to have surgery, most likely in Finland.

Marco Pellegrino, an Argentine defender, was hurt as well against Napoli. The left foot fracture that the 21-year-old has been diagnosed with will keep him out of action until mid-December, according to Gazzetta.

Malick Thiaw and Fikayo Tomori will be Stefano Pioli’s only first-team center backs for a few weeks due to injuries to Kalulu, Pellegrino, and Simon Kjaer.
