Mansfield Town Brilliant Star Just Signs New Contract Extension As He Made A Statement
Mansfield Town is pleased to announce that Academy goalkeeper Anthony Nunez has signed a professional contract with the club.

The 18-year-old, formerly of Basford United and Notts County, has put pen to paper on a deal which runs until the end of the 2024-25 season.

Stags’ head of goalkeeping, Adam Collin, said: “I first met Anthony when I was at Basford and both myself and Steve Chettle [professional development phase lead coach] thought very highly of him and I have tracked his progress since.

 

“When we had an opening for an under-18 goalkeeper in pre-season, we looked to bring him in and we were delighted to have him on board.

 

“He is very athletic and has all the attributes that a modern-day goalkeeper needs. He is very strong in possession with a superb array of distribution skills.

 

“Anthony is very mature and a fantastic character. He will make our goalkeeping department even stronger and we are delighted to have him sign his first professional contract with us.
