Wrexham Manager Phil Parkinson Issues a Firm Warning Regarding Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s
Manager Phil Parkinson says there is “mutual respect” between Wrexham and their League Two foe, Notts County.
Next up for Wrexham is Notts County.
Clubs, according to Parkinson, have “mutual respect.”
Teams in League Two separated by just one spot
AHEAD OF TIME? Last season, Wrexham prevailed in an intense battle between the two teams for the National League championship. The National League championship for 2022–2023 was won by Wrexham, who finished four points ahead of Notts County. But before Saturday’s encounter between the two teams, the Magpies, who qualified through the play-offs, are currently three points ahead of third-placed Wrexham in the League Two standings.
WHAT THEY SAID: Parkinson told BBC Sport, “We know what they’re all about, they know us.” “Because we were neck and neck in the previous season, there is mutual respect between the two teams and the clubs. I believe we charted the National League’s course.
“Certainly the game we played them here [Racecourse], the 3-2 was as memorable a game as you’re going to get in the National League.”
THE BIGGER PICTURE: With the arrival of Hollywood pair Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney as owners, Wrexham is hoping to advance once again after joining League Two. During the current campaign, the Red Dragons have already had a few exciting moments, such as a 5-5 draw against Swindon Town.
Next what? On Saturday, the Red Dragons will play Notts County.
