Sunderland boss Tony Mowbray has given a fitness update on Bradley Dack and Adil Aouchiche
Bradley Dack has already resumed training despite missing Sunderland’s midweek trip to Leicester City with a hamstring niggle. Dack and fellow midfielder Adil Aouchiche both featured from the bench at Stoke City last weekend but were absent for the defeat at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night, with Black Cats boss Tony Mowbray confirming afterwards that they missed out through injury.
But this lunchtime Mowbray has given a further update on the pair, saying neither is likely to be out for long – and adding that Dack – whose outing at Stoke was his first since picking up a hamstring injury at the beginning of September – trained fully with the squad today ahead of Saturday’s game against Norwich City at the Stadium of Light. “They’re not bad injuries at all,” said Mowbray.
“Bradley is fine, it’s just that he’s needed to get up to speed having missed six weeks or however long it was with a hamstring injury. He trained fully with us today, we just need him to train for a week, work hard and get right up to speed so he’s ready to play.

“Adil, the medical report tells me it’s one to two weeks so that’s not going to be a long problem. I think we’ll have the same group [as Tuesday night] to select from on Saturday.”
Sunderland are on a three-game losing streak having been beaten by Middlesbrough, Stoke and then Leicester, but they will be aiming to get back on course when Norwich visit Wearside this weekend. The Canaries arrive having won just one of their last seven league games and with boss David Wagner under pressure to halt their slide.
