Loughlin, a 21-year-old former youth player for Leicester City, joined the Ammies in the summer of 2020.
The teenage midfielder made his club debut for the club against Manchester United’s U21s in the EFL Trophy in September of that year.
At the end of the 2021–2022 season, Salford released him following loan stints at Ashton United of the Northern Premier League and Farsley Celtic.
When Ian Deakin’s team travels to Hyde United on Tuesday night for a league match, Loughlin will be in the running to make his league debut.
