Plymouth Argyle v Sheffield Wednesday: Sky Sports pundit delivers
David Prutton is expecting another tough evening for Sheffield Wednesday at Plymouth Argyle.
Plymouth Argyle will be looking to return to winning ways after a run of four games without victory.
The team put in an impressive performance against West Brom and were unlucky to come away with just a point.
Sheffield Wednesday, who are currently at the bottom of the table, face a challenging trip and are predicted to come away empty-handed.
Plymouth Argyle take on Sheffield Wednesday at Home Park in the Championship on Wednesday night.
The Pilgrims will be looking to return to winning ways after a run of four games without a victory, but they did pick up an impressive point in the 0-0 draw against West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
Argyle were the better side in the first half, with Alex Palmer denying Ryan Hardie and Kaine Kesler-Hayden seeing his shot blocked, and while the Baggies improved after the break, the visitors held on for a deserved point.
Steven Schumacher’s side currently sit 21st in the table, but they are four points clear of the relegation zone.

It has been a tough start to the season for Wednesday, and their search for their first win of the campaign continues after they were beaten 1-0 by Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday in their first game under new manager Danny Rohl.
Former RB Leipzig, Southampton, Bayern Munich and German national team coach Rohl was handed his first managerial role at Hillsborough earlier this month when he replaced Xisco Munoz, and while it was an improved performance from the Owls, they came away empty-handed as Yaser Asprilla’s 82nd-minute strike sealed all three points for the Hornets.
Wednesday remain bottom of the table, and they are now nine points from safety ahead of the crucial game against Argyle.
What did David Prutton predict?
Sky Sports pundit Prutton believes it will be another difficult evening for Wednesday against Plymouth, predicting a 2-0 win for the Pilgrims.
“Plymouth have slipped down the table to just above the relegation zone. This season has turned into more of a struggle than they may have been expecting, picking up just two points from four games since they hammered Norwich,” Prutton said on the Sky Sports website.
“Sheffield Wednesday, under new boss Danny Rohl, were beaten late and narrowly at Watford on Saturday. This is also a challenging trip, and I think it could be another fruitless one for the Owls.”
Will Plymouth Argyle beat Sheffield Wednesday?
It is difficult to disagree with Prutton that it will be a victory for Plymouth in this one.
The Pilgrims put in an excellent performance against West Brom on Saturday and were unlucky to come away with just a point.
Home Park has been a fortress for Argyle in recent years, and while they have lost back-to-back games on their own patch against Millwall and Swansea City, they will be hopeful of picking up all three points against struggling Wednesday.
The Owls are the only side in the EFL without a win this season, and they are facing a potentially season-defining week with the trip to Plymouth followed by a home game against Rotherham United.
Wednesday desperately need a victory in midweek, but Argyle certainly come into the game as favourites.
