JUST IN: Blackburn Boss Makes Millwall Admission After Gary Rowett’s Departure And Send Key words Across To The Board

Blackburn’s manager acknowledges Millwall after Gary Rowett’s departure

Blackburn manager Jon Dahl Tomasson does not think that Millwall’s style of play has really changed since Adam Barrett temporarily took over the team when Gary Rowett left.

Rovers have won their last two Championship games in a row despite being just below Millwall in the standings.

Blackburn came back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat Millwall 4-3 at The Den on the final day of the regular season, preventing Millwall from earning a spot in the Championship play-offs.

By mutual accord, Rowett left the Lions last week, and Barrett took over as manager for Preston’s 1-1 tie.

We’re side by side in the standings, same like last season, where,” he said, according to Blackburn’s website.

“We know Millwall are a good team and are a team that can be extremely dangerous with their direct play.

“They’re dangerous from corners, set plays and on transitions.

We are aware of their potential for abrasiveness, their skill at recovering lost balls, and their potential for great danger.

“We need to play around them and keep the ball. We can create a good performance against them if we take the proper actions.

“In their most recent game against Preston, the assistant took charge, and they earned a draw.

Because the assistant has previously worked with the manager, I don’t believe they have much modified how they play.

“We are aware that this team has performed exceptionally well in recent years. We’re looking forward to the game.
