Bradford City manager search latest: Karl Robinson update, Kevin McDonald
All the latest news in Bradford City’s managerial search.
League Two side Bradford City are still searching for their new manager after the sacking of Mark Hughes.
Hughes was let go by the Bantams earlier this month after a poor start to the campaign saw them sitting in 18th place at the time of his departure.
Hughes’ last game in charge was a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Tranmere Rovers, and that was enough for the hierarchy to make a change in the dugout.
As whenever a manager leaves, there have been several names linked to the post, but it seems the Yorkshire side are in no rush to appoint their next manager.

Here, we have looked at the latest news in their search for a new manager…
Karl Robinson rejects Bradford City
As mentioned, the Bantams are looking for a new permanent manager to replace Hughes, and one name that has been mentioned is former Charlton Athletic and Oxford United manager Karl Robinson.
However, according to Pete O’Rourke, Robinson has turned down the opportunity to have talks with the League Two side.
O’Rourke tweeted: “Former Leeds assistant manager and ex-Oxford boss Karl Robinson has turned down the opportunity to have talks with Bradford City over the vacant manager’s job at the League Two club. #bcafc.”
It is unclear if Robinson was the frontrunner for the role, but it seems he is not rushing back into management after his spell as a coach at Leeds.
Kevin McDonald on the current Bradford City managerial situation
McDonald was speaking last week about the current situation he finds himself in and stated he has an open dialogue with the club’s chief executive, Ryan Sparks.
The 34-year-old also believes that even if he doesn’t take on the role on a permanent basis, he will have learned from this experience.
He said, via Keep Up: “I think in a longer term it has always been maybe a potential plan to be going into coaching.
“Maybe now I have been involved in it, I don’t know if it has confirmed (I want to do it).
“Obviously I want to be a manager going forward in time to come, but that was kind of always on the radar for the longer term.
“I was thinking somewhere along the line of coaching and managing.
“I didn’t know how I would take to it; I didn’t know how I would do; I didn’t know how well I’d take to it, but I’d say I’ve taken to it all right, at times.”

Bradford City’s current run of form
Since Hughes’ departure, Bradford have played four games, three in League Two and one in the EFL Trophy.
Midfielder Kevin McDonald has been in charge of their games, and so far, he remains unbeaten in his caretaker spell.
McDonald joined the Bantams as a player in the summer, signing a two-year contract, but now finds himself not playing but managing the football club.
The temporary spell has gone well so far, and that has resulted in him being mentioned as a permanent option, but the midfielder will just be concentrating on the next game with MK Dons on Tuesday night.
