Kevin McDonald felt his side’s performance warranted more than a point in this afternoon’s 1-1 draw with Wrexham in Sky Bet League Two.
City went behind through a Paul Mullin header, but fought back to earn a share of the spoils after an 85th-minute Adam Wilson strike.
But after a strong performance from his side, McDonald was left feeling that City should have come away with more.
“It was a good game overall,” he said.
“I thought we performed well; we defended our box well and, on another day, we get all three points.
“I am happy with the performance, apart from not getting all three points.
“The goal came at a bad time for us. We grew into the second half and I felt we started to dominate the game.
“It was a big blow to concede the goal when we did, but the lads reacted well to going a goal behind, and pushed on.”
With over 21,500 supporters inside the University of Bradford Stadium this afternoon, McDonald emphasised how important the fans were to his team, especially when chasing a game.
“When we went a goal down, I thought the fans helped push the lads to get the equaliser,” he added.
“When you feel that energy coming from the crowd, it really pushes you as a player.
“It was a great occasion for League Two, with so many fans in the ground. The noise was class.”
