A double injury boost has been given to Newcastle United before of today’s Premier League match against Crystal Palace (kickoff 3pm).
Alexander Isak was a significant question mark when head coach Eddie Howe disclosed at the news conference on Friday that the Swede had not trained after declining an international service assignment.
But as captured by NewcastleWorld, Isak has arrived at St James’ Park and is set to feature in the matchday squad with Callum Wilson leading the attack.
The Brazilian had missed the previous two games versus Paris Saint-Germain and West Ham United because of the hamstring injury he sustained less than five minutes after coming on as a substitute at home to Burnley.
Speaking at Friday’s press conference, head coach Howe said admitted he was “confident” Joelinton would be involved for the visit of Palace.
And his return has now been confirmed. Indeed, the 27-year-old himself after he uploaded a personalised matchday graphic to his Instagram story this morning.
