After the bizarre incident involving his loan team, IFK Norrkoping, Emil Roback went out and disclosed that he has depression.
The revelation was first reported by Aftonbladet earlier this week, who said that Tony Martinsson, the sporting director for Norrköping, has been attempting to get in touch with Milan loanee Roback for two weeks but has been unsuccessful.
The Roback matter has been concluded, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. They confirmed that the Swedish forward has returned to the Norrkoping training facility after speaking with player-side sources.
Now, La Gazzetta dello Sport have relayed the words of Roback who spoke to Sportbladet about what he was going through and his return to Norrkoping.
“I didn’t want to see anyone except my family. I suffer from a form of depression,” he said.
“I haven’t been feeling well lately. In fact, very bad. I didn’t want to go out or see people, only my relatives. I felt like my head wasn’t in the right place, so I closed in on myself.
“It probably wasn’t the right thing to do, but it happened that way. Depression? I think it’s that, but I’ve never experienced it before.”
The club also put out a statement, which reads as follows: “Emil has finally reconnected with the club, however he is going through a bad period in his life. Despite this, the player has announced his return to the field and Norrkoping wishes him good luck!”
