Reading FC: Ruben Selles gives injury updates prior to the trip to Charlton.

Ruben Selles, manager of READING FC, provided an injury report prior to the Royals’ Saturday trip to Charlton Athletic.

The Royals are still trying to end an 11-month league-wide winless streak away from home.

Positive information was released about the health of Sam Smith and Mamadi Camara, two strikers.

Sam Smith and Maddi Camara are receiving proper instruction from us, according to Selles.

“He (Smith) should be ready to play a part of the game. It could be from the beginning, it could be from the bench.

“We still have another training session to go but it will be my decision if he will be a part of it or not.
There were also updates on the situations regarding Amadou Mbengue, Tom McIntyre and Joel Pereira.

Selles continued: “He (Amadou Mbengue) is doing really well but is not ready yet.

“Joel (Pereira) is getting better, we don’t know if he will be ready for the game but we hope he will be during the next week.

“Coniah (Boyce-Clarke) is more of a long term injury, it will take between six to eight weeks.

“We have a situation with Tom McIntyre. He came back from the concussion and then after a period of time in training he got a muscle injury which we expect to keep him out for four to six weeks.”
